There will be at least two new Vineyard select board members this year as the Island’s annual town elections continue to take shape. 

Tisbury residents resoundingly approved a debt exclusion to fund an overhaul of the Vineyard Haven library at a special election Tuesday.

The public is invited and will have a chance to listen to candidates present their positions and ask questions. 

Chilmark select board member Bill Rossi and Oak Bluffs select board member Jason Balboni both are planning to step down after their terms are over, shaking up the Island political scene as boards face large infrastructure projects and sky high housing costs.

The League of Women Voters is sponsoring candidate forums prior to local elections this spring.
