While the saying most likely started as a reference to astronomy, referring to the position of the constellations Leo the lion and Aries the lamb in the night sky, the proverbial saying, “March comes in like a Lion and goes out like a Lamb” has stood the test of time.

If you were ever in Menemsha shortly after sunset on a summer evening you would likely have encountered Bill Shanok as he strolled with his pup, Beau.

He passed a few years at Station Menemsha. He made many friends and became a dad while he was here.

Whenever he was in town, Jeff Bezanson was busy.
