Two ovens, two sinks, tortilla soup, hamburgers, cookies and great conversation all inside Josh Aronie's mobile kitchen, The Food Truck. Parked outside the Chilmark General Store, the Truck feeds anywhere from one to 100 people a day.

Revisiting a controversial issue that has been dormant since summer, the Oak Bluffs selectmen voted Tuesday to approve a set of regulations that prohibit food trucks in the heart of downtown.

Josh Aronie, chef at Cafe Moxie in Vineyard Haven and formerly of the Menemsha Cafe, has been approved to operate an off-season food truck in the parking lot of the Chilmark Store. Mr. Aronie said he plans to serve a daily soup, tacos, sandwiches, falafels and a Brazilian lunch plate.

A months-long dispute between the Oak Bluffs selectmen and a Circuit avenue businessman came to a head this week when the owner of an unbuilt lot at 16 Circuit avenue saw fresh opposition to his latest proposal for a business venture.
