Over 45 people gathered at the Narragansett House in Oak Bluffs Saturday to celebrate Juneteenth, and its new status as a federal holiday.

On the last day of school around the Island, students and teachers of all ages and sizes greeted their newfound freedom with cheers, smiles, tears.

Blooming Art, the garden club's major fundraiser and the exhibit, features 34 Vineyard artists and 34 garden club members doing floral arrangements.
