Winter Sunshine

Enrichment is indeed alive and well at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School where the education programs reach well beyond the traditional academic confines. Here are three examples:

Six students at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School were honored for excellence in art work this week as winners in the prestigious Boston Globe scholastic art competition.

On Monday night the high school culinary arts students prepared a delicious community dinner made from nearly all Island ingredients. More than sixty people attended.

This weekend high school thespians take the stage for the ongoing performance of A Chorus Line, that well-loved musical that today is the fourth-longest running play on Broadway.

February may indeed be the cruelest month on the Vineyard, with the landscape cold and gray and half the population down with the flu.

But the vibrant scene at the regional high school is as warm and sunny as a trip to the Caribbean.

And come to think of it, far less expensive.
