Spring at Sassafras

Sassafras Earth Education in Aquinnah is offering several programs during the Island schools’ spring recess, April 17 to April 25. Saturday Squirrels, for ages 6 to 13, runs on April 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring a bag lunch. On Sunday, April 18, there will be a Spring Family Gathering and Watercress Celebration from 1 to 4 p.m., a free event for all ages. Tuesday, April 20 features Wild Nibbles: Saskia Vanderhoop and Rebecca Gilbert will lead a day of learning about wild edibles and plant games. On Wednesday, April 21, the Martha’s Vineyard Spring Vacation Collaborative is from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for grades one to five.
