A slice of Italy, in particular its food, will be touching down on the Island next week on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 5 p.m.

The folks at the Vineyard Grocer will be holding their second cooking class and dinner focusing on various regions of Italy.

The menu for next week includes pasta e fagioli (white beans and pasta), tortellini d’alba (wild mushroom tortellini in a Parmesan cream sauce), cioppino (lobster, scallops, fish and little necks in a spicy tomato and garlic broth), sogliolo cuocopazzo (pistachio crusted sole topped with a sauce of garlic, white wine, fresh basil and chopped tomatoes) and carpaccio Toscana (thin sliced beef tenderloin, shaved grana cheese, olive oil, cracked pepper dijon mustard and arugula.

There will also be handmade biscotti.
