Community Poetry

On Sunday, Nov. 13, at 4 p.m. the West Tisbury Library will hosts its annual community poetry reading featuring community members reading their own poems and/or the poems of others. Everyone is invited to share their work, so no more hiding your light under a bushel.

As per tradition numbers will be drawn from a hat to determine the reading order.

This year’s reading doubles as the kickoff for the new poet laureate of West Tisbury nominations process. So come prepared with ideas of who would make a great lyrical ambassador for the town. Nominations will be accepted from Jan. 3 until Feb. 1, 2012.

Refreshments will be served too.
