I have for 40 years been interested in the unusual bungalow-style building on Beach Road between the gas station and bike rental place in Vineyard Haven. Tax records indicate it was built in 1926 by James W. West, an upholsterer, and his wife Bertha, and that they were followed in occupancy there by another relative, Winslow West. It seems rather high-style for its location. Does any reader know who designed it?
