Earth Day was officially last Friday, but shouldn’t every day be Earth Day? After all that’s where we spend our time each and every moment. Well, on Saturday, April 30, the Vineyard Conservation Society aims to help you give back to the mother ship by participating in a cleanup day held at beaches all over the Island.

The 24th annual VCS Earth Day beach clean-up begins at 10 a.m. Simply show up at your favorite beach ready to make her beautiful again. Staff will be on hand to hand out supplies at 24 Vineyard beaches; for a complete list of the supervised beaches visit vineyardconservation.org

VCS is also interested in learning more about beach trash, so volunteers will be conducting surveys afterward about what people found.

An after party for volunteers will be held at noon at the Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown.
