The poet laureate of Martha’s Vineyard has a new book out and he is looking for you to get engaged with words on Tuesday, August 2, at Featherstone Center for the arts

Arnie Reisman’s book is called Sodom and Costello and it contains poems that bring a mixture of humor, whimsy and thoughtfulness to the genre. It also features his illustrations.

Fan Ogilvie will also read at the event which begins at 7 p.m.

Here is but a small taste of things to come from Mr. Reisman:

“After you left fifth grade, did flax ever once cross your mind again? Would you know it if you tripped over it? Yet the world lies rotting in my cranial shed.”
