Reason for Running

I am passionate about the general health and well being of our community Islandwide. I hope to continue my efforts to better address substance abuse prevention and treatment for our Island. Homelessness and the continued development of a full-time supportive day program for seniors suffering from dementia and early Alzheimer’s disease is a must. Programs addressing veterans affairs, health care access, fuel assistance, food stamps and other social services must not be neglected. It is also imperative that we maintain the health and beauty of all our beaches with particular focus on those managed by the county. I have served as county commissioner for two years, currently as the chairman, and hope to continue through another term with the support of my community.
