The Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School girls and boys swim teams faced off against Old Rochester Tuesday in New Bedford. Both teams were defeated, the girls by a score of 97-68 and the boys 76-71.

Girls co-captain Renee Goodale won two individual events, and Abigail Hammarlund and Salyn Yancey won the girls 200 freestyle relay. Yancey also placed first in the 100 freestyle.

For the boys team Harrison Dorr won the 200 freestyle and Ryan Laslovich placed first in the 500 freestyle. The 400 freestyle relay team of Dorr, Laslovich, Coltrane LePort and Curtis Fisher also placed first.

The girls have a season record of 1-2, and the boys are 0-3. The teams will head to Nantucket Saturday for the Cape Cod Classic; the next home meet is Saturday, Jan. 14 at 11 a.m. against New Bedford.
