Can I just say I love this weather? It is warm enough for flip flops and a tank top, but cool enough to be outside without sweating and wishing you were in the shade. And if you wanted to wear long sleeves you are comfortable too. Now can we talk about sleep? Windows open, air conditioner off and a blanket on now that is nice!

Happy birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Cali Grow and Dani Grow who celebrated their day August 26; Rayssa Donato, August 28; Conor Graves, August 29; Ruby Mercier August 30; and to Leiliane who celebrated her day August 31.

Happy anniversary wishes go out to Gary (Bunk) Look and Amy Look who will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary on Sept. 4. Word has it they will be going to an exotic island for some R & R. Congratulations to you both and here is to many more years together.

This is the weekend many people look forward to. A smaller line at the Stop & Shop, the traffic is less, the line at the Triangle is smaller, and the favorite of most mothers is that school will be starting.

I hope the kids had a good summer vacation. I know kids who went to camp, some went to visit relatives off-Island, some just stayed and hung out at home and some went horseback riding with their mom. Whatever it was, I hope you all had a good one and are now ready to settle in to your new year at school.

I sit here watching TV and the shots they are showing of Texas and I pray they will be safe soon. Please send them your prayers. There are so many people that need them.

Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
