I am listening to the wind blow outside and wonder what precipitation is going along with it. The weatherman said rain, then snow but I hear hail or a hard rain. After some mild weather I don’t know if we are ready for more snow, but this too shall pass.

Happy birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Olive Dockery, who celebrated Jan. 27, Mateus Perini, Audrey Polleys, and Leila Torres, who all celebrated Jan. 29, and to Katherine Carroll, Seabella Vargas, and Kathleen Vieira Da Silva who all celebrated Jan. 31.

It’s February and quiet. I don’t know about anybody else but I always promise myself that I will get things done around the house that I have put off all summer. I have puttered and taken my pantry apart to put small appliances in because they clutter up the counter, yet you don’t want them too far away so you can get to them. It’s time to get rid of some things, which for me it is difficult. However, I’m proud of myself as I have thrown things away without looking twice. I may not be happy later, but right now it feels good.

Everywhere you look on television, it is the Patriots. I don’t mind because I am a fan. I am so excited about the Super Bowl and have been having fun watching them travel.

I don’t want to be a Debbie Downer, but the flu season is going on strong. Please take care if you cough or sneeze to wash your hands. Stay home if you can if you don’t feel well. Stay hydrated.

Again, it is a quiet week. If you have any news, please call or email me.

Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
