Vineyard Haven resident and outdoor writer Nelson Sigelman won a top award at the New England Outdoor Writers Association annual meeting April 14.

Mr. Sigelman won first place for best article, magazine category for an October 2017 column in the Martha’s Vineyard Magazine titled The Answer to Your Deer Problem.

Mr. Sigelman writes the Outdoors column for Martha’s Vineyard Magazine and is the author of a new book, Martha’s Vineyard Outdoors, Fishing, Hunting and Avoiding Divorce on a Small Island.
