Martha’s Vineyard Magazine has canceled the Best of the Vineyard celebration scheduled for June 4, but is making plans to recognize the winners virtually.
The Vineyard Gazette announced late yesterday the purchase of Martha’s Vineyard Magazine from WEM Publishing Inc. The newspaper will take control of the magazine effective June 1.
William E. Marks, publisher and founder of the five-year-old publication, will bring out his last issue of the magazine late this month. The first issue of the magazine under Gazette direction will appear on newsstands and in the mailboxes of subscribers in July.
The Vineyard Gazette Media Group announced a new development this week with two Island publications devoted exclusively to weddings. Martha's Vineyard Wedding, owned by Hurd Publishing, will become part of Martha's Vineyard Island Weddings.
Martha’s Vineyard Magazine crowned the Best of the Vineyard. Now Boston magazine is getting in on the action, naming some Vineyard establishments to its 40th annual Best of Boston list. The Island winners are included in a special subsection of the awards devoted to the Cape & Islands.
