They have been out there, painting in plein-air and now they are coming home to roost at the Old Sculpin Gallery in Edgartown.
The opening reception for the seventh annual plein-air art show is Sunday, Sept. 2 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Since June, 10 Island artists have been painting in locations all over the Island, including Long Point, Chappaquiddick, Cedar Tree Neck, South Beach, Mermaid Farm and the North Tisbury Farm Stand.
The reception is a chance to view the work and meet and talk with the artists, who include Anna Finnerty, Judith Howells, Janis Langley, Kanta Lipsky, Marjorie Mason, Meg Mercier, June Schoppe, Lizzy Schule, Kate Taylor and Valentine Estabrook.
The Old Sculpin Gallery is located at next to the Chappy Ferry terminal on Memorial Wharf in Edgartown.
