With all the facts squarely in place concerning the environmental impact the proposed offshore wind farm will have, Vineyard Wind has crossed its t’s and dotted its i’s with due diligence. Denial by the local Edgartown conservation commission is purely NIMBY, cowering from pressure no doubt — a tactic to be sure — from local elitist property owners.

Save for the Massachusetts DEP, who will undoubtedly decide with further due diligence, should the Edgartown conservation commission and town of Edgartown not be put in their rightful place for such chicanery and sensibly reverse their dubious decision, perhaps then, they should be the recipient of a class action litigation by the collective citizens of the cities and towns along south coast Massachusetts?
