How can we complain about the weather that we have been enjoying? Warm days, cool nights and beautiful blue skies.

Happy birthday to all who celebrated their day this week. Big balloons go out to Mya Smith, Rafael Souza, Sept. 13; Haily Waters, Sept. 14; Ashley Cardosa , Rafaela Monico and Danika Peters, Sept. 16; Emily Barbosa, Sept. 17; William Thornton, Sept. 18; Clarissa Pinto, Sept. 19; and to Kayo Deoliveria, who celebrates her day today Sept. 20.

I have been listening to people talking about the difference in the traffic. Now people are driving peacefully again. And it is fun seeing people in the stores you have not seen all summer and catching up.

The days are getting shorter, but that is not stopping some. The derby is on and there is lots of fishing going on. People are always on the Jaws bridge, (as many like to call it), and squidding on Memorial Wharf.

I was at the Boys and Girls Club walking the dog and there were people and kids on the swings, men playing soccer and lots of people riding their bikes or walking. They were all getting in the good stuff while there is still enough light in the evenings.

On Saturday, Sept. 21 from 4 to 7 p.m., Saint Andrews Church will host an auction benefit. Some auction items include Thanksgiving dinner for 10, lobster dinner for six, art work, and lots more.

Have you done any Christmas shopping yet? I have a few friends that can say yes.

Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
