We have two adoptions to report this week. Sweet, young, tabby and white girl Annie has found a very special home. And Mona, the gray barn cat, has found her forever home where she will be greatly loved. Since we’re on the topic of barn cats, if anyone is looking for blue collar cats to keep rodents at bay please check with us as we often have outdoor cats who would be happiest in just such a situation. Mac is one of those cats and he’s very unhappy here. He’s a tuxedo boy, about a year or so in age. Can someone provide him a good life outdoors?

Two new older cats are joining us today. Angus and Hazel are both 10 years young, they’ve been neutered and spayed and will be vetted and ready to go within the week. Angus is orange and white and Hazel is a tuxedo. It would be wonderful if they could be adopted together but they are both fine with being separated. More about them as we learn their personalities.

If you’re considering adding a bunny to you home you couldn’t ask for a friendlier bunny than Tawny. This is a juvenile, dwarf Dutch bunny, about the size of a cat, and she’s been spending her time hopping around the hallway, climbing in and out of her cage and hanging out on a chair. So she’s hoping for a home with someone who will let her out of her cage, play with her and let her stretch her legs. She’s been hand raised, and adores people. She also enjoys snuggling and a short cuddle. As an added bonus she’s been spayed so she would make a fine companion for another bunny, and she uses a litter box.

We have two black and white, Abyssinian Guinea Pigs staying at the shelter, and both have rosettes on their heads. These boys are brothers who do get along so can be caged together, but do not need to be adopted together. The larger of the two is Mr. President and his brother is Dolphin, who is the one with white on his face. Both are hand raised and some of the nicest piggies we’ve met.

If anyone needs dog food, we have plenty and are happy to share. Stop in during regular shelter hours. Crates too are available for free. And we are always taking jewelry donations for the summer garden party.

Volunteers are also always welcome for a variety of tasks. The shelter phone number is 508-627-8662.
