We have no adoptions to report this week.
Our pets of the week are again Molly and Mia, two Guinea Pigs who are looking for their forever home. Molly is four years old with brown and white markings. Mia, who is three, is a calico with a black face. These girls are well socialized, sweet, have big appetites and come with a cage if needed. They would be wonderful pets for children, schools, libraries and anyone else who has space in their heart for two small critters.
Puppy classes are back. Classes are taught by dog trainer Jeremy Jones and are for puppies 12 weeks to five months old. Classes began Sunday, April 27 at 10:30 a.m. in the shelter’s backyard. Sessions will continue every Sunday for six weeks for a total of $360. Payment can be made directly to Jeremy on day of class by cash, check or Venmo. To sign up, contact ASMV at 508-627-8662 or Jeremy at 508-633-0841/jeremyjonesdogtraining@gmail.com.
The next nail clinic is scheduled for May 10 from 10 a.m. until noon. Dogs must be leashed and cats, rabbits and Guinea pigs must be in carriers; walk-ins only, $20 fee.
We are also looking for jewelry donations for our annual Garden Party. We will accept any type of jewelry in any condition. Donations should be dropped off at the Shelter during business hours.
The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours: 508-627-8662.
