The animal shelter remains open for official business and by appointment only.

We’d like to thank everyone who made a donation on giving Tuesday. Since hearing the news, the cats are purring happily and the Guinea pigs are singing with joy.

We currently have three cats waiting for adoption. Lemmy is a male tabby, about eight years old. He’s shy and confused right now so more on his personality once he comes out of his shell. But he would love to find a new home sooner rather than later so please call the shelter if you think you might want to meet this boy.

Angus and Hazel are both 10 years young, they’ve been neutered and spayed and are vetted out and ready to go. Angus is orange and white and Hazel is a tuxedo. It would be wonderful if they could be adopted together but they are both fine with being separated. Both are very friendly and sweet, affectionate cats.

We have two black and white, Abyssinian Guinea pigs and both have rosettes on their heads. These boys are brothers who do get along so can be caged together, but do not need to be adopted together. The larger of the two is Mr. President and his brother is Dolphin, who is the one with white on his face. Both are hand raised and some of the nicest piggies we’ve met.

If anyone would like to make some donations from our wish list we are in need of laundry detergent, bleach, air fresheners, paper towels and toilet paper.

We’d like to thank everyone for their donations of used towels and such, but request that you refrain from making donations of this type at this time.

If anyone is in need of cat or dog food, we have plenty and are happy to share. And if anyone needs any crates we have an abundance and are happy to share. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.
