We have had some beautiful weather. The sky has been blue and, yes, we have had our share of clouds and wind, but it is better than dark and gloomy. The trees are really bursting and flowers are starting to raise themselves in the gardens. Yes, spring is here and things will get better.

Happy Birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Harrison Lazarus, who celebrated his day May 9; Maria Fonseca, and Ava Trott, May 10; Alexandra Guerrero, and Edward Rosbeck, May 12; Adelaide Seguin, May 13; Russell Coogan, Broden Couto, May 14; and to Mateo DeOliveira who celebrates his day today May 15.

Special birthday wishes go out to Patty Mundt who celebrated her day May 11. Because there is social distancing we could not do a regular party so some ladies got together and did a drive by party at the nursery for her. It was quite loud but she was surprised and hopefully it made her day. Happy Birthday Patty, and next year we can really celebrate.

Congratulations to Samantha Hargy who will be graduating from Georgetown University on May 15. Sam graduated with a double major, one in international affairs and the other in Latin American hemisphere, with a minor in Spanish. There will be a virtual graduation she will attend with her family.

Sam is the daughter of Molly Hargy and the late Chris Hargy of Edgartown and the granddaughter of Judy Hathaway and the late Louis Hathaway. The Boulevard will be hopping as the whole family gets together, of course social distancing, to watch the graduation. Congratulations to all.

I’d like to remind everyone to check out the activities of the Edgartown Library. They have a lot of programs online and there are some game activities available. Saturday there will be a Trivia night from 7 to 9 p.m. Sign up online with the library and they will send you the link Saturday night to join in.

Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
