Where else can you be in short sleeves, capris and flip flops at noon, and at six in the evening you are looking for your slippers and a fleece? New England of course. I have to admit I love my slipper and fleece so I was quite happy.

Welcome to fall when the inside of your house is colder than the outside but you won’t turn on the heat because the rule is you have to wait till Nov. 1. Well I cheated and turned on the heat to take the chill out of the house, but it went right off after.

Happy Birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Jaydon Fuller, Luiz Lacerda, Vincent Paciello and Wyatt Thornton, who all celebrated Sept. 19; Christopher Cardoza, Michael Magaraci, Sept. 20; Kaio Santos Rodriques, Sept. 23; Benjamin Donato, Sept. 24; and to Michael Waters who celebrates his day today Sept. 25.

I was waiting on this young lady at the nursery and I was thinking what a cute girl. She had pretty eyes and nice blonde hair and was very sweet. I took her credit card and looked at the name and did a double take. It was Willa Welch and I had not seen her in years obviously. Willa is one of the beach gang’s granddaughters. Lee and Cheryl Welch would bring her and her sisters, Josie and Beatrice to the beach and they were so little. I didn’t seem that long ago, but now she is 18 and a senior in High School.

Speaking of beach gang I saw on social media that Conor Smith is here fishing the Derby with his Dad Tom.

If you have not filled out your Census yet there is still time. If I can do it on line so can you. It helps with our federal funds.

Zack Waller was here for a few days to visit with his parents Steve and Pat Waller. He was here finalizing things as he prepares for his new career in England as a corporate lawyer. We wish him well and hope he keeps in touch in his new life.

Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
