We have kittens. Two eight-week old kittens have come to stay until forever homes can be found. The male, Louis, is all black, and the tuxedo female is named Hettie. Both are adorable and sweet babies, purring machines, that are ready to go.

A six-year old, female tabby, with a white spot on her chest, has joined us. Her name is Tink and she is a darling.

Scar is a black adolescent cat with golden eyes. He was picked up as a stray in Oak Bluffs but you would never know it. He’s been described as a ten and has turned out to be a lap cat who seeks out attention.

Lemmy is an eight-year old, black and gray tabby who couldn’t be sweeter. When he first came to us he was shy and confused but he has really blossomed and is seeking out affection and giving kisses and head butts. Both these boys get along with other cats and are up-to-date on vaccinations and ready to go.

Our other tabby cat looking for a home is Holly. Holly has been with us for about two and a half years now. She’s about six years of age and has been living as the shelter cat. Being out and about has helped her become more trusting of people. She still, however, will need someone with cat savvy due to her unique, feline personality.

Remember that tick and flea season ramping up again so please be diligent about checking your pets and yourself as well as keeping up with flea and tick treatments.

If anyone needs dog food, we have plenty and are happy to share. Crates too are available for free.

The shelter phone number is 508-627-8662.
