The MV Community Seed Library Group has postponed its annual Seed Swap and Giveaway to March 6, from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 27 on the West Tisbury Library porch. The event was moved from Feb. 27 due to a forecast of rain, according to a library announcement.

Locally saved vegetable, flower and fruit seeds will be available on a first come, first served basis at the swap, with a limit of five packets per person. Participants are encouraged to bring seeds to swap and share if you can, and to save their seeds after the growing season and “return” them to the seed library.

The event is free, with masks and social distancing required. Email wt_mail@clamsnet.org with any questions.

The MV Community Seed Library is a collaboration with Island Grown Initiative, Polly Hill Arboretum, West Tisbury Library, Whippoorwill Farm and local home gardeners.
