At this time, our Island animal shelter remains open for official business and by appointment only.

Poor Cloud, his adoption fell through. Cloud came to us with his housemates, including Summer. He’s a middle-aged cat, all gray, and he couldn’t be sweeter or more affectionate. He seeks out attention and runs to you to get some. Cloud has been neutered and is up-to-date on his vaccines. This wonderful boy deserves and good home.

We need someone to fall for Summer, like everyone here has. Summer is a nine-year old, female Ragdoll/Bobtail mix cat who has as a lovely a disposition. She has the face of a calico, with striking blue eyes, and her body is bi-color. Although she doesn’t like to be held she is as affectionate and just adores belly rubs. Summer has a respiratory issue so the adoption fee will be waived for the angel that gives her a home.

Also available for adoption are two female, baby Guinea Pigs. Both of these babies are hand raised.

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. If anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.
