Honoring all those who were enslaved on the Vineyard and those who escaped enslavement with help from people on the Vineyard, the Nameless Trail is the newest addition to the African American Heritage Trail of Martha's Vineyard, according to an announcement from African American trail co-founder Elaine Cawley Weintraub.

Students at the Martha's Vineyard Public Charter School created the trail, which is set to be dedicated May 12 at 1 p.m. at the school.

The Nameless Trail is now site #32 on the African American heritage trail, Ms. Weintraub wrote.
