The Martha's Vineyard Community Seed Library Group has announced a seedling swap and giveaway on the West Tisbury Library porch, weather permitting, May 22 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Bring heirloom vegetable, flower and fruit seedlings or cuttings to swap and share. Even if you don’t have plants to swap, there will be a selection of locally grown seedlings to take home.

Please remember to save your seeds after the growing season and “return” them to the seed library.

There is no sign up required to attend the free event, which is first come first served. Please wear a mask and observe social distancing.

Email wt_mail@clamsnet.org with any questions. This event is free and open to the public.

The MV Community Seed Library is a collaboration with Island Grown Initiative, Polly Hill Arboretum, West Tisbury Library, Whippoorwill Farm, and local home gardeners.

The rain date is May 29. Please check westtisburylibrary.org for updates.
