It’s been another good week for adoptions. Last week’s featured pair, Stan and Ollie, have found their forever home together. Turns out that their names were Wilbur and Miko, but their new family has decided to call them Smudge and Salty. Here’s wishing them a fabulous life in Falmouth.

For this week’s featured pet we have Jelly, a nine-year-old, female tuxedo cat. Jelly was surrendered to us with anxiety issues but she is now much more relaxed and confident. She is no longer hiding and is actively seeking out attention. And she’s quite the talker. She came from a multiple cat home but we feel she would much prefer to be an only cat. Come meet her and fall in love, she’s quite the charmer.

As for cats, Summer and Cloud, our special needs cats, are still here waiting for their angel to come for them. And the sister guinea pigs are also waiting to find new homes.

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.

The shelter phone number is 508-627-8662. Hours are: Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The shelter is closed Sunday and Monday.
