Please Adopt Us We’re sorry to report that we’ve had no adoptions this past week. But we still have a number of wonderful pets in need of homes.

This week our featured pet is Scout, an orange and white male cat. He came to us with his housemates Catticus and Jenny, but they do not need to stay together. Scout is only five and has the most charming personality. He’s neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and ready to go. Come and get this outstanding cat, you won’t be sorry.

If orange and tortoiseshell kitties are not what you’re looking for we also have a very affectionate tuxedo named Jelly who would love to find a forever home.

And we also have four female Guinea pigs in need of homes. Humpty and Dumpty are both Abyssinians. Humpty is black and white and Dumpty is gray and white. Like Bonnie the white/black/calico, and Miss T the brown and white, these girls are hand-raised and very friendly.

With the current temperatures please be mindful of pavement and vehicle temperatures, and consider leaving your best friend at home. And remember to keep up with flea and tick treatments, as well as checking your pets and yourself.

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.

The shelter phone number is 508-627-8662.
