We have adoption news to report. Scout, last week’s featured pet, has found his forever home. The lucky family gets a paw-some orange tabby, and the lucky kitty gets a fabulous new family. This week our featured pet is Jenny, one of Scout’s former housemates. She is an amazing, six-years-old, tortoiseshell cat. This girl is a real lover that adores people and can happily reside with other cats. She’s been spayed, is up-to-date on her vaccines and ready to go to a new home. Also available for adoption are nine-years-young, tuxedo girl Jelly, and Catticus, a buff and white male. Both are lovely, sweet cats. We also have four female Guinea pigs in need of homes. They’ve all been hand raised and very friendly. Adopt a piggie and bring some fun onto your life.
With the current temperatures please be mindful of pavement and vehicle temperatures, and consider leaving your best friend at home. And remember to keep up with flea and tick treatments, as well as checking your pets and yourself.
The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.
The shelter phone number is 508-627-8662.
