Good News! Catticus, our buff and white male short hair, picked his new owner who was delighted to take him home. Jenny has an adoption pending and should be going home this weekend.
This week we’re featuring our four Guinea Pigs, two girls and two boys. They’re all quite friendly and fun to hold. They can be adopted individually or keep each set together (boys and girls) as they are very social animals and have lived together their entire lives. It’s a great way to teach your kids about the responsibilities and joys of having a pet.
With weather and Covid issues permitting, we will make a valiant effort to provide a nail clipping clinic this Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Masks are mandatory. No one will be permitted inside the building and all dogs must be leashed at all times and cats and critters need to be crated. We ask everyone to be patient and cooperative so that we can provide this service in a calm and orderly fashion. The cost is $20 per pet.
With the current temperatures please be mindful of pavement and vehicle temperatures and consider leaving your best friend at home. And remember to keep up with flea and tick treatments, as well as checking your pets and yourself.
The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.
The shelter phone number is 508-627-8662.
