It turns out that August was an excellent month for adoptions. Jelly’s new family adores her and Jelly couldn’t be happier. And the jazz cats, Miles and Mingus, have gone to a tuxedo loving home where they can continue to make beautiful music together. Good news all around.

We also have four female Guinea pigs in need of homes, two sets of sisters. Bonnie and Miss T came here as babies and need to find a forever home, they’ve been here too long. These girls have been hand-raised and are very sweet and affectionate. Miss T is brown with a white T on her face, and Bonnie is white and black with a little orange. Humpty and Dumpty are the larger girls. Humpty is black and white and Dumpty is gray and white. These girls are exceptionally friendly and adore being held and played with.

With the current temperatures please be mindful of pavement and vehicle temperatures, and consider leaving your best friend at home. And remember to keep up with flea and tick treatments, as well as checking your pets and yourself.

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.
