This week’s adoption news is that kitten Louie has found his forever home where he is now considered royalty. Due to his orange coloring his name has been changed to Prince Harry to reflect his status.
This week we’re featuring Gordon, a nine-year-old, long-haired, black cat. You want friendly and affectionate, this is your boy. He’s very friendly, adores getting brushed, and even gives kisses. He’s up to date on all his shots and prefers being an indoor cat. Gordon has always had a bit of a weight problem so his diet will need to be monitored. Otherwise, you can’t go wrong with this fellow, come scoop him up.
As for our other resident kitties the jazzy cats, tuxedos Miles and Mingus are still waiting. We also have a six-year-old calico named Nina, and a nine-year-old tortoiseshell named Sheba in need of homes. All these cats are sweet and friendly and would be great additions to any home. Come in and meet them.
And if anyone is interested in adopting Guinea pigs we have four super friendly girls: Bonnie, Miss T, Humpty and Dumpty.
The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.
