Tuesday was an incredible adoption day, six kitties moved on to their forever homes! The tuxedo jazz boys get to continue making beautiful music together, the calico girls, Nina and Sheba, also went to their new home together, and Parks’s two kittens have also moved in with their new families. What a fantastic day.

Speaking of Parks, she will be available for adoption after recuperating from her spay surgery next week. Parks is a gorgeous, green-eyed, medium coat, calico. She’s about two and a half and is very friendly and affectionate. This girl adores everyone and would be an outstanding companion for anyone. She’s up-to-date on her vaccinations and will be ready to go in a few weeks. Come meet her and fall hopelessly in love.

We have two other cats looking for their new families. Gordon is a nine-years-old, long-haired, black cat who couldn’t be friendlier. And Roo is a dilute calico sweetheart with mesmerizing blue eyes. And if anyone is interested in adopting Guinea pigs we have four super friendly girls: Bonnie, Miss T, Humpty and Dumpty to choose from.

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.
