We’re delighted to report that Max, the lab/husky mix, has found his forever home. Let’s hope it’s a match made in heaven for this good boy.

Our featured pet this week is Pesto, a seven-year-old, black and white bunny. She’s a house rabbit, hand-raised and litter box trained and is currently living in the hallway at the shelter. She knows her name, and enjoys pets as well as sitting in your lap. Come and get her, she’s a keeper!

Also, in need of homes are Willie, the tabby and white boy; Faith and Maxine, the elderly ladies who just need a loving home for their final days; Guinea pig girls Humpty and Dumpty, and a hamster that’s loaded with personality.

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.

The shelter phone number is 508-627-8662.
