It’s been another great week for adoptions. Willie, the tabby and white cat, has moved on to his new home, and so has Pesto, the awesome bunny. Congratulations everyone.

Who wants a hamster? Ophelia, our pet of the week, may be the coolest hamster ever. Shake her bowl and she’s there. Let her roam in her ball and watch her cover some ground. This little girl is a ton of fun. There must be a child out there just begging for a hamster, so come and get her.

Still in need of homes are Faith and Maxine the elderly felines who just need a loving home for their final days, and Guinea pig girls Humpty and Dumpty who are hand-raised and good companions.

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.

The shelter phone number is 508-627-8662.
