Maxine’s adoption has stuck, so now we need an angel for another elderly lady, Lily. She is a 16-year old tortoiseshell cat. She has a lovely personality and is sweet, even responds when called. Her disposition is calm and she’s also quite affectionate. Someone please give this girl a home for her final years.
We also need an angel for an elderly male Jack Russell terrier. Petey is 15 and deaf, but he’s a good boy with plenty of life left in him. He also has a brown eye patch, hence his name. His only downside is that he shouldn’t live with cats, but otherwise this is a great little dog. He doesn’t belong in a shelter.
Our other residents in need of homes include: Faith, our 22-year-old cat; Humpty and Dumpty the Guinea pig sisters; Fred, a male Guinea pig; and Ophelia, an adorable hamster. Any of these pets would love to find a forever home.
The rabies clinic is back and will be held on March 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the West Tisbury Public Safety Building at 425 State Road. The fee is $25, cash or check. Dogs must be leashed and cats need to be in carriers. Hope to see you there.
