We have a number of adoptions to report. Petey, the older Jack Russell/dachshund cross has found his forever home. Two older female black cats, Suzie and Shadow, have also gotten new families. We’re also happy to say that Fred the guinea pig and Ophelia the hamster have been fallen in love with and now have families to dote on them as well.

Who wants a snuggle buddy? Our featured pet is Vinny, a two-year old, white and tabby neutered male cat. Vinny is one affectionate boy: he’s a lap cat who loves to be held, purrs and purrs, and just wants to snuggle. He’s an indoor cat and his only downside is that he needs to be an only cat. Otherwise, this kitty is a keeper. Come meet him and see if he could be your purrfect companion.

Our other animals in need of homes include Faith, our 22-year old feline; Lily, the 16 year-young tortoiseshell kitty; and Humpty and Dumpty, the guinea pig sisters. Any of these pets would love to find a forever home. Maybe it could be with you.

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. If anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.
