On Wednesday, June 15, the Island business community will gather for the Best of the Vineyard, an annual party hosted by the Martha’s Vineyard magazine to highlight the best and brightest in food, shopping, entertainment, outdoor adventures and more.

Nearly 2,500 voters cast nearly 80,000 votes this year, with 197 businesses receiving either first place or runner-up awards. The winners will be announced live at the outdoor event. The 2022 party will be the first in-person celebration since 2019 after Covid-19 moved the event to an online rollout.

“The past two years have been an especially difficult stretch for local businesses,” said Jane Seagrave, publisher of the Vineyard Gazette Media Group, of which Martha’s Vineyard magazine is a part. “We are proud to give our readers an opportunity to show their appreciation and hope the night’s festivities will be a celebration of the people that make our economy work.”

The Best of the Vineyard party takes place from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Farm Neck Golf Club in Oak Bluffs. DJ Steve McCullough will provide music, with a special appearance by the Vine Shakers. Island photographers Randi Baird, LA Brown and the Salty Snapshots photo booth will be there to capture photos of the fun.
