We have some very exciting adoption news to report this week. Holly, our not so sweet shelter cat who has been here for over six years, fell in love with someone and has left us for her new forever home. We couldn’t be more delighted.

Orca is our featured pet this week. Orca is a two-year-old, indoor, tuxedo male cat who is ready to go. When you first meet him he likes to hiss his welcome, but he’s really just a big baby and very sweet. He also has an adorable black soul patch split by white. He recently lost his owner so we’d like him to find his forever home soon.

We have a few other cats in need of homes. Dusty and Gracie are 11 years old housemates that we would like to rehome together so their adoption fees will be waived. Dusty is a light silver/buff medium hair and Grace is tabby and white. They’re very sweet girls who are shy due to being frightened being at the shelter and need a stable home.

Also available are five years old sisters, Mozzie, long-haired gray and white, and Teaser the tuxedo, who also need to stay together.

Laverne and Shirley are two large black rabbits that come with their own hutch and love living outdoors. These girls have been hand-raised and are very friendly. If you prefer Guinea pigs, we also have two calico males, Bert and Ernie.

We’d like to invite everyone to the Celebration of Pets, Animals Great and Small on Saturday, July 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Agricultural Hall. There will be pet related events and, of course, the blessing of the animals. We hope you can join us.
