We have another adoption to report this week. Mozzie, the gorgeous gray and white tuxedo, has found her new home.

This week we’re featuring Laverne and Shirley, two large, black, female rabbits. These girls have been hand-raised and are very friendly. At their former home they enjoyed spending time outside in their fenced yard so someplace where they could enjoy some outdoor time would be great for them. These girls would make delightful pets for any rabbit lovers. They even come with their own hutch.

There are a couple of other cats in need of homes. Dusty and Gracie are 11-year old housemates that we would like to re-home together, so their adoption fees will be waived. Dusty is a light silver/buff medium hair and Grace is tabby and white. These sweet girls are shy due to being frightened being at the shelter and need a stable home. And there’s also the five-year old tuxedo girl Teaser.

But if you prefer guinea pigs, we also have two, calico males, Bert and Ernie, who are both very friendly. The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit.

Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.

The shelter phone number is 508-627-8662. Hours are: Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursday; 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
