As expected, four kittens were snapped up in no time last week. Lots of happy folks out there, enjoy your new babies. And cute Guinea Pig, Ruby, will be leaving for her new home this weekend. Congratulations everyone!

Our featured pet this week is Teaser, a five-year-old, tuxedo girl with the softest coat. She’s loaded with personality and loves to play. She came here with her sister, who has since been adopted, and now is hoping to find her forever home as well. She’s up-to-date and ready to go.

Our other cat room residents include Cassie, a petite young tuxedo; Butter, a fourteen-year-old, indoor/outdoor calico with a great personality but not a fan of dogs; and Alice, a petite, two-year-old, light-colored tabby that gets along with dogs but not cats, and needs an experienced cat owner.

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.

The shelter phone number is 508-627-8662.
