Last week may have been a slow week for adoptions but Winnie, the Bengal, does have an adoption pending.

For this week’s featured pet we have a great dog looking for a new home. Tag is a nine-year old, boxer/springer spaniel/labrador retriever mix with a sterling personality, but he does have Cushing’s disease, a not life threatening, treatable illness. Tag is well behaved and loves children and dogs. Can someone help this sweet boy out? If interested, please contact the shelter to set up an appointment to meet Tag.

Our cat room residents are mostly younger cats. Thor is a six-month old kitten who is black and white with an adorable moustache, DeeDee, only a year old, is a shy young calico, and there’s also Alice, a petite, two-year old, silver tabby that gets along with dogs but not cats, and needs an experienced cat owner. Five-year old Teaser is a tuxedo girl who has the softest coat and has been here the longest.

Then there are the 10-year old brother and sister, Cody and Gypsy, who do not need to be adopted together. Cody is a medium-haired orange boy and Gypsy is a lovely tabby and white girl, also with a medium coat. Can anyone give any of these wonderful cats homes?

Looking for a gift for the person/people who have everything? Please consider making a donation to the shelter in their name(s). It’s the perfect gift for any occasion.

Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need.
