No moss grows on Barney Zeitz. He is opening a show for December at Mocha Mott’s. He will be showing his incredible sculptures and many of his drawings. I don’t think he ever sleeps.

Sofia Anthony informs me there will be a Neighborhood Convention at Trinity United Methodist Church in Oak Bluffs on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 11 a.m. Bring a sack lunch. I’ll see you there.

Dorian Lopes reminded me that Island Community Chorus has concerts at the Old Whaling Church on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 4 at 3 p.m. If you don’t drive at night please attend the Sunday matinee. The concerts are free. Suggested donation is $20.

Hunting season begins this week. Wear orange if you walk in the woods. Keep your pets in. Santa comes by Steamship, so his reindeer are not in danger.

Ashley McCarthy’s son Drew has been injured at a sports event. His leg is not broken but he is recovering and wearing a red boot for two weeks. His trip to Florida is still a possibility.

The birthday bandwagon pulled along Martha Dunham on Nov. 24. Phil Ginter and Sarah Powell shared Nov. 27. Nov. 28 was a party for Bethany Vinal, Grace Schrafft and Gina Marinone. And on Nov. 29, Barbara Pope Peckham took the cake. Many happy returns.
