We are happy to report that calico kitty Dee Dee has found her forever home and her adoption has been finalized. And the tuxedo girl, Sally, has an adoption pending. Fingers crossed for her as well.

At the moment we have only one animal available for adoption. Isn’t it wonderful that this shelter is able to find safe and loving forever homes for every animal that passes through our doors? And while staying here we strive to provide the best living situations possible.

Alice, the two-year old torbi and white cat is our featured pet again this week, and is our only resident. Alice has matured into a really lovely girl who is extremely affectionate and playful. She adores people and is a good lap sitter, but would do best with an experienced cat owner since she believes that she’s the one in charge. She’s tolerant of dogs but not cats; she wants all the loving for herself. This cat is loaded with personality; could she be your valentine this year and forever?

Looking for a gift for the person/people who have everything? Please consider making a donation to the shelter in their name(s). It’s the perfect gift for any occasion.

The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.
