A Vineyard resident who is facing numerous charges connected to stabbings on the mainland was indicted by a Plymouth County grand jury last week.

Jared Ravizza, 27, was indicted Friday on two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and one count each of assault to murder and indecent exposure connected to two stabbings at a roadside McDonald’s in Plymouth.

Mr. Ravizza, who had been living on the Vineyard before the May stabbings, is being held without bail while he awaits his new arraignment in Plymouth Superior Court, as well as other court dates here on the Vineyard and in Quincy.

Police say Mr. Ravizza went on a violent spree over Memorial Day Weekend, allegedly killing a man and two dogs in Connecticut before stabbing six people in Massachusetts.

On May 25, police found 70-year-old Bruce Feldman and two dogs dead in a Deep River, Conn. home where Mr. Ravizza had been staying.

Later that day, Mr. Ravizza allegedly drove to a Braintree movie theatre, where he stabbed four girls who had sat down to watch a movie. After that, police say he drove to the rest stop McDonald’s and stabbed two employees.

Mr. Ravizza was being held at Bridgewater State Hospital for a mental health evaluation to see if he was competent to stand trial. He is now being held at the Plymouth House of Corrections.

He has not yet been extradited to Connecticut for the murder charges.

Mr. Ravizza is scheduled to have an arraignment in Edgartown on past assault charges on Thursday, a probable cause hearing in Quincy on Sept. 19 and a probable cause hearing in Plymouth on Sept. 24.
