We have no adoption news this week, but our pet of the week is LoLo, a 16-year-old, long-haired, black and white cat. She is a real love muffin, very friendly with a lovely disposition, a cat that seeks out attention. Given her age she is not very tolerant of other cats so would do best as an only, Someone please give this girl a home for the holidays as she is craving more attention than can be provided here at the shelter. And due to her age, her adoption fee will be waived.

We also have two adorable kittens. Meryl and Pippin are both female torbis. Their unique markings give them an exotic look. They are a little shy but are sweet and affectionate. They enjoy sitting on a lap, being pet and purring away. And, of course, they love to play.

Also still available is Nellie, a beautiful 13-year-old, medium hair, torbi cat. Nellie came to us shy and fearful but has been making great progress lately. She is spending much more time out of hiding and is allowing some people to pet her. She even sits with them on the sofa now, a big step for her. And sometimes she even asks for petting to continue if stopped. She now has a roommate, LoLo, whose presence hasn’t had any impact on her behavior so we know she’s feeling much less stressed. She has a very sweet nature and we expect

that she will blossom once she finds her person and goes to a home where she feels comfortable. Come meet her and see if you were meant for each other.

And for the Guinea pig lovers we have a mother/daughter pair in need of a home(s). Both are Abyssinian with calico coloring. Moana is the mother. She is three years old and has a black face. Her daughter, Chip is two years old and has a light colored face. Both are hand-raised and very friendly, and ready to become members of your family.

The next nail clinic is this Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. until noon —walk-ins only, $20 cash or check. Dogs must be leashed and cats, rabbits and Guinea pigs need to be in carriers.
